Introduction to Paris
This tour will show you some of the main sights of the city. A walk on Ile de la Cité, a view of Notre Dame cathedral, we see the flower market, the medieval kings’ palace which became the prison of the Revolution, the River Seine, Paris’ oldest bridge, the imposing City Hall, the new pyramid at the Louvre, the Tuileries gardens, the fateful place de la Concorde where the guillotine stood, and view the famous Avenue des Champs Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower in the distance. This tour can be adapted to suit your family or group. This will give you an overview of the city centre. Your stay will be greatly enhanced with the insights, advice and recommendations of a local guide. The tour can usually be done entirely on foot, but we can show you how to use the metro if you wish. Stop for a lunch of your choice in a restaurant in the Latin Quarter, the guide stays with you for lunch and helps you order and explains French customs. In the afternoon, either travel by bus or metro to view the Eiffel Tower and then see the Champs Elysées and the Arc de Triomphe, or visit the charming neighbourhood of Montmartre, famous for its association with artists, before returning to the station. Price depends on the length of time involved, starting at 270€ for 3 hours and 330€ for 4.
